On the 5th of July 2025, Paragon International School’s Prefects, Monitors and Librarians participated in the Leadership Camp held at University Technology Malaysia’s (UTM) Recreation Forest. The camp provided students with a series of engaging activities designed to build practical leadership abilities in a natural setting.

The camp focused on hands-on learning, critical thinking, and self-reflection, encouraging students to step out of their comfort zones and work collaboratively.

One of the key highlights was the Best Camp Challenge, where participants learned essential survival skills such as knot-tying, shelter building, and fire-making. The activity culminated in a friendly competition where students showcased their creativity and problem-solving abilities by constructing survival setups using limited resources.

Another major component was the Explore Race, a team-based challenge where students moved from station to station, completing tasks that tested their communication, collaboration, and decision-making skills. This activity required students to apply what they had learned throughout the camp and demonstrated the importance of strategy and teamwork.

The camp concluded with a Nature Hike and Reflection session. This guided walk through the forest offered students a chance to unwind, connect with nature, and reflect on their personal growth. The hike also emphasised environmental awareness and encouraged students to draw leadership lessons from the natural world.

Overall, the Leadership Camp successfully provided students with opportunities to develop leadership competencies in a dynamic and supportive environment. It fostered resilience, teamwork, and self-awareness, aligning with the school’s goals of nurturing confident and responsible young leaders.
