In conjunction with Science and Math Week, the Science and Mathematics Department of Sekolah Menengah Paragon featured an exciting Mini Petting Zoo that captivated students and staff on June 12, 2024. This unique event provided a hands-on opportunity for students to interact with a fascinating array of animals, fostering a deeper appreciation for wildlife and the natural world.
Among the highlights were a baby saltwater crocodile and a ball python snake, both of which intrigued and educated students about the distinct characteristics of reptiles. The presence of a boa constrictor added an element of wonder as students learned about its habitat and behaviours.
In addition to the reptiles, students enjoyed meeting the marginated tortoise and the sulcata tortoise, gaining insights into their slow but steady lifestyles. The bearded dragon and leopard gecko were also crowd favourites, with their unique appearances and behaviours sparking curiosity and excitement.
Overall, the Mini Petting Zoo was a tremendous success, providing an unforgettable educational experience that combined fun with learning. It left students with lasting memories and a greater understanding of the diverse animal kingdom.
