The International Secondary School embodies the practices of inquiry-based, experiential learning and student centered teaching approach. Upon learning about concepts, students can explain and present the concepts in their own words to further enforce them in their memories. This is a way for students to perform an active role in the learning process and eventually understand better in the subjects.

Once the students progress to the Lower Secondary level in Years 7 to 9, students will continue to study the subjects as in Cambridge Primary School Curriculum – this to ensure there is a continuity in their learning. Students will then sit for the Cambridge Lower Secondary Checkpoint examination at the end of Year 9.

Both Primary and Lower Secondary Checkpoint examinations provide learners with comprehensive feedback on their strengths and weaknesses in the core subjects (English, Maths and Science). Each learner receives a statement of achievement in each of the subjects and diagnostic feedback giving schools, parents and learners valuable information on their progress.

Upon completion of their lower secondary education, students will be able to choose the path they wish to follow in the upper secondary level in Y10 and Y11. We offer a unique blend of  subjects offered by Cambridge and  students can choose the electives based on their interest and skills they excel or are most interested in. Furthermore, students are given a choice between English as a first or second language.
