Honoring Outstanding Performance in the IGCSE
We are delighted to announce the outstanding results of our Year 11 students in the May/June 2024 IGCSE languages examinations.
The school has once again achieved a 100% passing rate for the Malay and Chinese language examinations with 90% A*/A for Mandarin Chinese.
SCOUT BOOTCAMP SERIES 2, PASIR GUDANG DISTRICT
After three months of anticipation, our scout members finally joined and completed the Scout Bootcamp Series 2, held at Taman Pertanian Johor, Kong Kong. The boot camp, organized by the Malaysian Scouts Association District Pasir Gudang (PPMPG), is part of a three-series program designed to motivate aspiring scouts in the Pasir Gudang District and help them earn the necessary badges to achieve the Chief Commissioner’s Award, Chief Scout Award, and ultimately, the King’s Scout Award.
A DAY OF FARM ADVENTURES: EXPLORING NATURE AT SUPERFRUIT FARM
Primary 1 and 2 students of Sekolah Rendah Paragon had a delightful excursion to the Superfruit Farm. The young explorers had a hands-on experience plucking fresh ladyfingers right from the plants. They also got to taste the unique flavor of stingless bee honey, straight from the farm’s hives.
FORM 4 STUDENTS WIN SILVER FOR INNOVATIVE NATURAL FOOD DYE PROJECT
We are delighted to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Form 4 students of Sekolah Menengah Paragon — Tan Yu Ming, Christine Lian Zhi Qing, Lee Yan Jie, Tan Yong Han, Khor Xian Yi, and Shawn Lai Sun Quan who won the prestigious Silver Award at the Virtual Innovative Competition 2024 for their outstanding project, “Production of Natural Food Dyes: Dehydration or Oven Dry.” Under the guidance of teacher advisor, Dr. Tan Yong Chee, they explored sustainable alternatives to synthetic dyes by investigating natural dye production methods using oven drying and dehydration.
FORM 3 STUDENTS WIN GOLD AWARD FOR INNOVATIVE ECO-FRIENDLY PAPER PROJECT
We are thrilled to congratulate our Form 3 students of Sekolah Menengah Paragon — Ang Lit Jie, Lim Le Tao, Justin Tan Jun Yuan, Meghna, Tee Ya Xuan, Jong Zheng Quan, and Lioe Darren — who have won the prestigious Gold Award at the Virtual Innovative Competition 2024 for their project, “Be A Forest Ranger: Use Leaf Paper.” Under the guidance of Dr. Tan Yong Chee, these students explored sustainable alternatives to traditional papermaking by using banana leaves, grass, and pandan leaves to produce
eco-friendly paper.
