Many students today experience stress, loneliness, or sadness, and not everyone has someone to talk to. Professional support can also be expensive or difficult to access. Motivated to find a simple and friendly solution, a team of Primary 6 students from Sekolah Rendah Paragon explored how technology could provide emotional support in an affordable and accessible way.
Through creativity and teamwork, they designed Mood Buddy, a low-cost Arduino-powered robot that responds to different emotions via buttons, playing relaxing music, giving encouraging messages, or showing happy face on its screen. This interactive approach helps students feel comforted, cheered, and less lonely, while also being easy to customize for different ages and emotional needs.
