𝐒𝐞𝐤𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐡 𝐑𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐡 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐨𝐧: 𝐈𝐂𝐓𝐂 𝟑.𝟎 𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 — 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫-𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐨𝐧

People with Parkinson’s Disease often experience hand tremors that make eating difficult. Inspired to support individuals facing this daily challenge, a team of Primary 6 students from Sekolah Rendah Paragon set out to design a tool that could make mealtimes more manageable and dignified.

With curiosity and determination, the team developed the 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫-𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐨𝐧, an idea that combines motion sensor and stabilising mechanisms to counter hand shaking. They have demonstrated impressive resilience by proposing a smart alternative—attaching a 𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐚 𝐠𝐢𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐫 to a spoon to replicate the same steadying effect.
