Sekolah Menengah Paragon has done it again at the Kuantan International Invention & Innovation Challenge 2025 (K3IC)! Under the guidance of Dr Tan Yong Chee, students Avelynn Chia Wen Qi (team leader), Tan Du Feng, Lee Guo Shun, and Bernice Chan Chen Xi were awarded the Bronze Medal for their project titled Automatic Panel Cleaning System: Boost Solar Efficiency.
The project focuses on improving solar panel performance by addressing efficiency loss caused by dust and dirt accumulation. The team proposed an automated cleaning system designed to maintain panel cleanliness with minimal manual effort, helping to enhance energy output and reduce maintenance costs.
Their work was also recognised through publication in APS Proceedings Volume 25 (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.17677675, pp. 27β32), reflecting the quality and relevance of their innovation.
