Foreign Student

Step 1: Make an application

International students have to submit a complete application for admission form with all required documents to Paragon Education.
Admission Checklist:
Student’s Passport – All pages including blank page (3 copies)
Student’s Birth Certificate (1 copy)
Student’s Passport-Sized Photograph (4 copies)
Certified True Copies of Academic Results/ Final Report Card For The Past 3 Years
Parents’ Passport – Information page (1 copy each)
Parents’ Passport-Sized Photograph (1 copy each)
Parents’ Marriage Certificate/ Divorce Certificate (1 copy)
School Leaving Certificate
Student’s Medical certificates/ immunization record

Step 2: Assessment and Interview

Applicants are scheduled for an assessment only after the application for admission is complete. Assessment test and interview will help will help in finalizing candidate placement in the most appropriate grade in our school.

Step 3: Enrolment

Paragon Education will obtain a Letter of Acceptance for success accepted students. The payment of the remaining required fees constitutes the acceptance of a place and therein confirms the place for the child.

Step 4: Arrival

Once have sorted out Visa Issues and ready to depart Malaysia, international students are required to immediately inform Paragon Education about arrival date and time.

Step 5: Immigration Clearance (Without Parent/ Guardian)

Upon arrival at the airport in Malaysia, the Paragon Education’s representative will be waiting international students at the immigration check-point at the Malaysia airport.

Step 6: Get letter of support by MOE

Upon arrival at school, Paragon Education’s representative will submit student documents to the MOE in Putrajaya to obtain a Letter of Support for Student Visa. The process may take about 1 to 2 weeks. Required documents to obtain a Letter of Support for Student Visa are as follow,

1. Application to obtain Letter of Support for Student Visa Form BPS III
2. Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from Paragon Education
3. Student Visa Application Form IM.14 X 1
4. Photocopies of Student Passport (front page only) X 1
5. Personal Bond with stamping
6. Certificate of Registration by MOE
7. Approval letter for the recruitment of international students in Private Education institutions (PEI) in Malaysia

Step 7: New Student Visa Endorsement

After receiving the Letter of Support of Student Visa, Paragon Education will submit the student documents to the Johor State Immigration to affix Student Pass Sticker on student’s passport. The process may take about 5 working days.

TRANSFER FROM OTHER SCHOOL

If International Students withdraw from previous private/ international school to join Paragon Education, an approval of transfer has to be obtained from the Ministry of Education Malaysia.
The following documents have to be requested from previous private/ international school:

1. Release Letter with Attendance report
2. Academic Transcript or Certificate of Completion (certified true copies)
3. Student Visa cancellation
The international student will need to have his/her existing Student Visa (from the previous institution cancelled. Paragon Education will help to obtain a new student pass on the student’s behalf from the Immigration Department. The student pass is not transferable.
Please be reminded that:

- If student visa has not expired The previous Student Visa need to be shortened or cancelled and obtain the special Student Visa from the previous private/international school.

- If student visa has expired Student visa cancelation letter from the previous private/international school with the verification from the State Immigration Department.

EXTENSION OF STUDENT VISA VALIDITY PERIOD

The student visa has to be renewed yearly or extended if the student has yet to complete his/her studies.
In order to extend the student visa/entry visa, International student must submit required documents at least one and a half months before the expiry date stated in Student Visa/ Entry Visa.

LEAVING MALAYSIA BEFORE COMPLETION OF STUDY/ CANCEL STUDENT VISA CANCELLATION

If the International Student wishes to withdraw from Paragon Education to return home or go to another country, the International Student must inform Paragon Education Administration Office to help with all the immigration procedures and cancel the Student Visa in order to prevent having any problems when re-entering Malaysia in the future.

APPLYING FAMILY/ GUARDIAN VISA APPLICATION

Parents of international students are allowed to accompany students in Malaysia on a Long Term Social Pass (for a duration of 12 months or according to the duration of study whichever comes first).A long stay application must be submitted to the Malaysia Representative Office abroad. For countries which do not have a Malaysia Representative Office, the applicant may enter Malaysia on a Social Visit Pass at the entry point and then apply for extension of stay at the state immigration office within one month from the date of entry.
